Context is Everything!

It's not about what you see. It's about the space in which you see. What you see is meaningless without context.

So how can you continue to see the world as real, if the Self that is determine it to be real, is intangible?

Fear 2

Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. We are telling ourselves a story. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real. But fear is a choice.

The Sky Is Not the Limit

Transformation is a contextual shift in awareness - being - of yourself as the source of your life, rather than a shift in result.

In the realm of Transformation we are able to create new possibilities in ways of being. After we distinguished what was working from what wasn't working, we are able to let go of the things/thoughts/feelings/emotions/habits that don't serve us anymore. To create space for a new way of being. In the realm of Transformation anything is possible. I mean that quite literally. When I talk about possibilities I don't mean the 'maybe, someday but not now possibility'. What I mean is that anything you want in a way of being is possible, right here - right NOW.

But here's the thing, when we are talking about 'anything is possible' we like to use phrases like; "The sky's the limit" or "thinking outside the box".

Photo Courtesy Of Remon van der Zwaag

Well the problem with these phrases is that it all depends on perspective. Because when you are a skydiver the sky is not the limit but the ground is. And if you use a box as a metaphor for your brain, than you probably know that the inside of your mind is endless and goes on forever inwardly. Out there is no thinking, it all happens inside of your brain.

So in the realm of Transformation these phrases don't make any sense, because they come forth from a preferred believe system, based on what's already happened. These phrases are only useful if you want to refer to the past and thinking about changing things. But Transformation isn't about changing things. Transformation is about creating new things. From scratch, from nothing. And the only way you can have access to that is by allowing yourself to be complete with whatever there is and isn't - especially with what's not going the way it suppose to be. Only when you complete the experience of it, you are able to let it go. That's the access to Transformation. Change is like putting more glaze on a spoiled cake. It may work for a while. Eventually it will taste like crap!

This may sound simple and it is simple. The reason why you have the experience that it isn't simple is because it is human nature to be attached. We like to be attached to things/thoughts/feelings/emotions/habits, even if they don't serve us anymore in the present. We find it very hard to let go. Because we are afraid of the emptiness, the nothingness. We rather stick to the past, then diving into an unknown future. Well that's fun! Everything stays the same.

I'm not saying there's something wrong about it, but it doesn't make any difference. And if that is what you want, you have to make a choice!

So how do you want to do it, the hard way or your way?

If you choose the hard way be prepared for endless battles against all the things, thoughts, feelings, emotions and circumstances you already know and you already have been through, but are not working well for you. But hey, you know them, so it may look as the easy way.

Now if you choose your way be prepared for loving yourself in every aspect. With everything you have and everything you don't have. If you choose your way fear doesn't rule you. Neither do you suppress or ignore fear, just let it be - except some common sense when you're facing a running hippo towards you (or another life threatening situation). If you choose your way you must maintain your connection to your ground of being in the midst of any circumstances. From this place, regardless of your circumstances, you can move on in your life with integrity, dignity, clarity and grace. There is no reason to defend, resist, or control if your true desire is to maintain a healthy connection with yourself and the circumstance you are being with.
That's your way! It's about you and nobody or nothing else. But there's a pitfall here: Believing the sky's the limit.

Transformation is the clearing for you to experience Life based on creativity rather than on change, to experience Life based on choice rather than on coercion, to experience Life based on what's possible for being in the future rather than based on what's already happened. Ultimately, Life is life.

In the natural world transformation is fully present. We know that our ancestors lived in the sea. And that we humans have the same number of genes as mice and roundworms, about 23000. Did you know that a water flea, Daphnia Pulex, is the winner for largest number of genes in any animal known so far with 31000! Anyway, transformation takes place everywhere. But the idea that we are able to transform our thoughts, feelings, emotions and the way we experience Life is relatively new. Look at us, humans are the only specie busy with what other humans think. In the natural world you need to run or to kill to survive. In our civilized world we don't 'need' to survive, but we don't use our intelligence to end war, instead we defend war. So on a biological level we transformed a lot, but on an ontological level, on the level of being, we don't transform at the same rate. Why, I mean why not? What is stopping you? The sky is not the limit but you are!

If you don't want to,
You don't have to,
If you do want to,
You don't have to,
But you could,
Because you can,
And if you can,
And you want to,
You probably will.

Other people's grass seeming greener is no new concept, but in today's image crafting world, other people's grass looks like a glorious meadow. The truth is that everyone else is just as indecisive, self-doubting, and frustrated as you are, and if you just do your thing, by being you, you'll never have any reason to envy others.

And stop thinking that you're special. You are whole and complete just the way you are!

Just to be clear, happiness is not a condition, it's a choice!

Oblique Course

One oblique course in life is there's something to get. The search for meaning is the perfect puzzle.

We are completely run by the machinery of our lives. And the machinery wants to get something. It's been ground into us from an early age this all means something, and the way to live a full life is to find meaning. The problem with that is it's we who made up meaning in the first place. Then we forgot we did that, and pretty soon it starts to look like Life itself has essential meaning.

What a way to live!

We are so infused by it, we can't distinguish it anymore. Like Wile E. Coyote who's been fooled by his own traps. He wants Road Runner, we want to grasp life. There's nothing to get, life is life!

You see, life doesn't mean anything, and it doesn't mean anything that it doesn't mean anything. The shock of this revelation comes not from the awareness on whatever we've invested in our personal and intensely private search for meaning. The shock of it comes from the realization of how much time we've wasted on the pointlessness of the search.

As soon as we realize the meaningless of life itself, we can distinguish the meaning we make up from 'nothing to get' as the foundation from which to live a life of choice, instead of the machinery.

So now it is up to you what to choose! Or not, then you will have a 'Oh NO!' moment.

Enjoy your day!

The truth is made up.

Sandy Island (sometimes labelled in French: Île de Sable) is a non-existent island that was charted for over a century as lying between Australia and New Caledonia in the Coral Sea. Google Maps displayed the island until 26 November 2012, when it was removed. On Google Earth's default view the island area is covered by black pixels, but the program's historical imagery feature has a satellite image of the southern portion taken by DigitalGlobe on 3 March 2009 showing a darkened sea.

As a rock climber I'm very inspired by other outside sports. Especially sports with a high level of skills and mind controls. Ultimately all these sports are once created by us, to satisfy a certain need to experience life.

Because in the end we experience life as a game. In order to have a game something has to be more important than something else. For example; getting an A is more important than getting a C. Or being a Senior Executive is more important than being a Junior Executive. University is more important than Kindergarten.
The problem with all these games is that we have forgotten that they once were created by us. And now we think that they are for real and we are living our lives that way. Because in every aspect of our lives we are buzzy in getting to a 'higher level' of life. We think that it means growth. Well, growth got nothing to do with adding more skills or knowing more stuff. Growth is the outcome of a process of letting go all the thoughts/feelings/ideas/metaphors that don't serve you now.

So what really matters is what already is. But somehow that's a big deal for us. We just simply cannot be in the moment. Because we are running are lives as donkeys chasing a carrot. Thinking that if we get the carrot our life will be better. So how come something that isn't is more important than what is?
We experience life as a game in which what isn't is more important than what is ;-)

And if we realize it, we immediately create another game. Some of these games we translate in what we called 'extreme sports'. With the greatest stake in games, your life! Just to satisfy our need to experience life in the moment. Nothing wrong with it, it just is.

So what do you do, to feel alive?

I realize that I am not my emotions or thoughts. I am not my ideas, my intellect, my perceptions, my beliefs. I am not what I do, did or accomplished or achieved. Or hadn't achieved. I am not what I had done right - or what I had done wrong. I am not what I had been labeled - by myself or others. All these identifications cut me off from experience, from living. I am none of the above.

I am simply the space, the creator, the source of all that stuff.

I was, am, and always will be the source of my experience. Experience is simply evidence that I am here.

It is not who I am. I am I am.

Point of development

Everyone faces his own challenges in life and what they are is different for every person and point of development.

Point of development is never chronologically or hierarchically arranged, that is an invention of men to adhere a certain status. It is completely value-free and incomparable.

The Law of Attraction is this:

You don't attract what you want. You attract what YOU ARE - who you are BEING.

"The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to you what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove to be loving and friendly and helpful in return. The world is what you are." - Thomas Dreier.

In other words, you don’t merely attract those things that you hope or wish for; you attract the people and circumstances that match how you’re operating and showing up in the world. Most of us chase after things and few of us naturally attract the good stuff that we truly desire until we start living a life that feels most appealing to us, and until we start being more like the things we want to attract. For example, if you want more happy experiences to come around, be happy. If you want to encounter more kindness from people, be kind first. If you want more respect from others, be respectful.

Fall in love with your life and you will be attractive to others. And the more attractive you become, still others won’t be on the same page and will resist your happiness, but that’s okay too. They’re just not there yet.

It’s a mistake to think your life has to be problem free before you can feel happy and peaceful. The opposite is actually true. First you work toward joy and serenity and then your life challenges lessen and disappear. Most say, “When I reach my goals, I will be joyful.” But you must be joyful first. You must start with the determination that you will settle for nothing less than feeling good. And when you first seek joy, all else that is good follows. It’s not the other way around. You can feel joyful or serene even in the midst of turmoil.

Principle of Joy - When you feel good, you attract and manifest even more good. Joy is very attractive.

Tips: Radiate joy from the inside out. Let yourself feel good no matter what is happening around you. Allow yourself to sparkle and shine.

Question: Have you taken your life too seriously? How will you let yourself have fun again?

Affirm:  “I am joyful now.”

Let this simple affirmation travel from your head to your heart – which can sometimes be a very long distance. It may take a little practice, because you must allow yourself to feel it too!

Try This: Try taking just a few minutes to be fully present with someone today and share a moment of joy with them. Smile more often and find at least one person to laugh with --see what happens.

And you know what, it's FUN to share your JOY!

The reality of your experience is that your experience confirms your reality.

Once we have acquired some understanding about the difference, we should keep that in mind and see how we usually relate to the world and to others - how people, our environment and ourselves occur to us.

We believe there is something that exists independently and objectively. But things are not how they appear to us. So how do they exist? We can only conclude that we can understand their existence and their identity only in terms of interdependence: something that arises from an interaction with other factors, and depending on other factors, and labels we stick on reality. In other words: we create reality.

Things are just what they are, they just are. Here, there and everywhere. By giving things a meaning, creating words for them, they come into existence.

Just for a moment, ...forget your view about the world.... And start to relate to yourself as being the world. Not in the sense of you being literally the world itself, but the world exist because you can experience the world...

Without you, there would be no you, there would be no world, there would be no love.

You are here because you are here. Take good care of it...

The Time Is Now

Time plays tricks on you
One day you're dreaming
The next your dream has become your reality
Having the best of times when playing full out?
If only someone had told me
I don't know how I got here, but here I am
The clock is ticking, the time is now
Love it, no matter what.

Vertical Dance

As some of you may know, one of my passions is rock climbing. This poem is an ode to that passion and my experience of it. Enjoy!

Vertical Dance

When I'm dancing I notice gravity pulling on my body
When I'm dancing I become weightless to my thoughts by letting them go
When I'm dancing my head is clear
When I'm dancing I no longer experience fear
when I'm dancing I feel free
When I'm dancing touching the ground isn't an option
When I'm dancing my feet are placed very carefully up in the air
When I'm dancing my legs push me up
When I'm dancing I'm moving my body in all directions
When I'm dancing my heartbeat gives me the rhythm to move on
When I'm dancing I don't close my eyes
When I'm dancing I'm fully present of what is
When I'm dancing I forget the world around me
When I'm dancing my arms hold me close
When I'm dancing my hands guide me to the next move
When I'm dancing there's nothing more to say
When I'm dancing I'm on my own
When I'm dancing I feel happy
When I'm dancing I feel complete
When I'm dancing I feel alive
When I'm dancing the rocks are the ones I hold on to
When I'm dancing letting go of the rocks will end this feeling of aliveness
When I'm dancing I'm climbing
Because climbing is for me a vertical dance.
